Default PHP Version Problem Can not install

    Hi everyone,

Please forgive me as I am new to Zen Cart and trying to move from another software.

Using Fantastico I sucessfully installed v1.3, however an upgrade message made me try before adding any content etc, the upgrade did not go well due to a PHP problem, so I deleted all and manually uploaded the files to complete a fresh install, unfortunately I get the same error when I attempt to install:

Hello. Thank you for loading Zen CartŪ.
    Unfortunately we've discovered a problem:

The PHP version you are using (5.2.9) is too old, and this version of Zen CartŪ cannot be used. You need to upgrade your server to the latest version of PHP.

This version of Zen CartŪ requires an absolute minimum of PHP version 5.2.14
It is recommended to use the latest version of PHP 5.3.xx.

NOTE: At the time of this release, PHP 5.4 is not yet officially available, and has not been extensively tested with this version of Zen CartŪ. Check the www.zen-cart.com website for the latest version if your server is running PHP 5.4 or newer.

My cPanel does not allow me to change the version so I am a bit stuck, can anyone give me any advise?

    Thanks very much
    Lee
