Template Modification issue - changes aren't showing

Hello,

I started to manage a fully functional zen cart website (1.3.9h) and I am quite new to Zen Cart. The issue I am having is that whatever code I add to my custom template (includes/templates/mycustomtemplate/common/tpl_main_page.php) does not take effect. I´ve tried clearing the cache and also tried adding the same piece of code to the template_default, but without any results. I cannot understand what could be the problem, since I have no idea where to start searching for the mistake.

You're using a Template Monster template, which may have prevented you from editing those pages. You could ask them about the problem.

how about check the permission of ""tpl_main_page.php",the code you added can be saved?

It might also help if you explain what you are trying to do and what code you're trying to add.

TM should help with general issues with their template not working. Don't know how they will react to additions/modifications; possibly call it outside their scope.
