Default Implement Memcached for speedup site?

My shop it has over 40000+ products.
Usually any page will be open into 3/4 seconds but if you want to go on the detail page of any product server go very slowly (it's a dedicated server!), need between 10 and 30 seconds to open!!

The solution may be use memcached (already installed on server of course!) for speed-up reading "products" table but i need some help to implement it as you can read here for osc platform.

    forums.oscommerce.com/topic/360561-the-fastest-oscommerce-store-memcached-oscommerce/

Thanks in advance, imho it can help many users with largest site.

After working at other parameters and optimized as well my.cnf i've improved the speed.
Really no one is interested in developing support for Memcached?

    263 queries on home page

43644 queries on 1st visit to a product page
79 queries on 2nd visit to same page, impressive!

Personally I would see whats happening with those 43k queries to display one item (with NO apparent attributes)

Thanks for reply, simply the "missing query" are cached with this module
The real question is how to speed always the first time of opening of any products page!

    Yes I understand that...
The question is why do you have 43k queries to display one item in the first place?

Maybe products (over 40000) are not well indexed?
