Featured Products stops working when SSL is set to True

Hi, I need some help.

We are using zen cart version 1.5 in a TEST environment. I have "Featured Products" turned on the main page. 5 items listed. When I updated 'ENABLE_SSL' to 'true" in file includes/configure.php the "Featured Product" section disappeared from the main page. Any ideals what is causing this? If I turn the SSL back to 'false" the "Featured Products" reappears.

Maximum Display of Featured Products - Main Page is set to 9.
Index Listing - Show Featured Products on Main Page has a value of 2.

in Tools - Layout Box controller the sideboxes/featured.php ON LEFT 45 0 OFF

Can someone point me in the right direction as to why SSL would break the "Featured Products"?

Have you an URL to your site ... set your site to SSL false for now so we can see ...

Do you see any debug logs in your directory:
/cache

Do you have 1 directory or 2 for your site?

Could you post, from the server, without your username or password, the file:
/includes/configure.php
