    Default Moving to another server

    Hi,

My company is moving servers, and my job is to get zen cart working just like it was before on the other server. So far I have moved all the files over, moved the database over, reconfigured the config files so that they would connect to the new location of the database (store/includes/configure.php and store/admin/includes/configure.php). Everything works fine except when I go to log into my admin page I cant log in using my previous credntials.

    Any ideas?

Which steps did you miss here?

What exact symptoms do you have when logging into your admin? Specific error message?

Hi, thanks for responding to my post.

After I try to log-in to my admin, it doesnt display an error message it just goes back to having a blank username and blank password slot.

I followed all the steps from the article you provided.

Is the problem that im still running the site on the old server, can they run simultaneously?

    Thanks

Okay this is weird...I was just curious so I ran a complelty fresh install of zen cart on my new server and it still would not let me into my admin page.

Then i went to a different shared server off a justhost.com and rant a fresh install and it let me into my admin page

do you think part of the issue is that i am using an ip address instead of a domain?

    Most likely, yes.
There's a known issue about that happening when running the store with an IP address used for HTTP_SERVER and/or HTTPS_SERVER. Using a proper domain name will prevent that problem from occurring.
