Well, yes.
That option is not turned on by default because it does cause your database size to grow HUGE for busy stores.
Plus, most storeowners have their stores set up to send the storeowner copies of all order-confirmations (etc) emails (Admin->Configuration->Email Options->"Send extra copies of xxxxxx emails to ...."), so they don't need to make Zen Cart store that same information in duplicate.

This was pertaining to a specific email that was sent to a specific customer via the back end. MY client was tying to retrieve the email she had sent to her customer through the zen cart back end

My Enable Archiving Active? is False.
We would like to send an e-mail to all 14,000 customers and we do not need to save e-mails.
Will this grow Database (proportionally to number of customers)?
