Attributes question

No you only want the Attributes in the Attributes Controller for the Product set to Display Only YES if they cannot be selected ... otherwise they should be marked Display Only NO ...

Here's how the Attributes Controller currently looks.
If I leave the "Black" at "Please select", and order a "White" with an option value of "S", I get the error "On the Option for: Black You picked an Invalid Selection: Please Select".

Do you pick a Black and a White size or just one or the other?

If you Pick only one or the other, then you do not want the Please Select marked as Display only as they will not be able to pick the White Small without making a Black selection ...

I would like to be able to do both. Be able to pick a Black and a White size OR be able to choose one or the other.

Since it is this is an or/and option, you cannot use the display only on either as the customer has to make a choice ...

Unless ... you make the choices:
Black:
Please Select from below Display Only YES Default YES
NONE
S
M
L

White:
Please Select from below Display Only YES Default YES
NONE
S
M
L

Now the customer has to make a choice on both ...

The "None" will work. But is there a way that if "None" is selected is doesn't add to the cart? If I select Black "none" and White "S", they both show up in the cart.

Afraid not ...

You are trying to use a combined attibute where the Option Name is the color and the Option Value is the size so something gets added to the cart based on the selections ...

The other way to do it is to have an Option Name Color and an Option Name Size ...
