Cambridge Pro Template Support Thread

Hi Great template.

I am loading a customer site using EasyPopulate on ZC 1.5.1 with this template (He had installed). In my first pass I noticed The dropdown for categories is posting left and right on mouseover. It is looking pretty bad and I was wondering if you may have any insight. I double and triple checked my products to be sure I had my sub categories right. Then I went in and played with the settings in includes/templates/cambridge_pro/css/stylesheet_mega_menu.css. I found no easy way to turn off just that left side drop box, so I restored the original css file and came here. I have been hunting for hours on this. Any ideas?

I guess I figured this out somewhat.... The template will not support the huge number of sub categories that I was using. So it showed a double mouse over window. CSS isn't my strong suit so I guess I just need to find my customer a better method of sub categories.

Yes, with that many sub categories, you will need to do some customization with how the sub categories render--maybe split them into several columns?

We are using the cambridge pro (free) template, and noticed that if you have many (we have 30k) items, there seems to be an
abundance of white space after the supposed end of the page.. Is there a setting that we turned on or off ???

This is probably being caused by a very long category or manufacturer list in the header menu.

Whats strange though is that I first added the categorys, then added the manufacturers, checked that the spacing was NOT there,
then starting adding the items.. Once ~5k items or so were added, did the spacing issue start.. Kinda weird I know..

This is probably being caused by a very long category or manufacturer list in the header menu.

If you post a link to the site I can take a look, but I am pretty sure that the categories or manufacturers list is really long. The manufacturers will only show once products are attached to them, so this is why you would not have seen the space until products were loaded into the cart.

That was exactly the problem.. The first 5000 items were associated with ~20 manufacturers, so it wasn't an issue..

Now, I do have another question.. I have "New" and "Featured" products listings on the main page turned on,
but it seems that I need to click on "New" before the list is populated/displayed. There something I am missing ??

Hi Anne I really like this template thank you. I have a stupid question I can not figure out or it to late in the night. How in the world do you change the mega menu link color. Also the sidebox color. Thank You in advance, like I said it's late and my mind is burned out tonight.
