Shipping confuguration

Hi All,

I am new to Zen Cart (V1.5.0). I managed to get most of it working to meet my companies needs. We are currently using Yahoo store, but want to switch to doing it ourselves with zen cart.

I am running into an issue with shipping. At first glance there does not seem to be a shipping module that does what I need. My company likes the way the shipping is working now (yahoo store). I trying to accomplish the same with zen cart.

I was wondering if someone could help get started in that direction.

Currently we ship free to the 48 contiguous United States
but we have shipping charges to Hawaii and Alaska and Canada (The charges is a rate per order + a rate per pound example: $10.00 per order + $3.00 per pound).

We also offer 2nd day air, 3 day select, and next day air (all rates are per order + per pound)

Is there a built in module that I can tweak to do this or will I have to make a custom module?

Any help or direction I can get me would be greatly appreciated.

For a base charge per order, see Flat Rate in the Shipping Modules set up screens. (You can also have a base charge per item.)
For free shipping for certain areas, see Shipping Zone.
For weight charges, see the Per Unit settings.

Most any S&H system can be set up in ZC. For specific advice once you get into it, post questions in the Configuring the Zen Cart Admin part of this forum, under Built-in Shipping and Payment Modules.
