Hi All,

I am new to Zen Cart (V1.5.0). I managed to get most of it working to meet my companies needs. We are currently using Yahoo store, but we want to switch to doing it ourselves with zen cart.

I am running into an issue with shipping. I have went through the e-start book and the forum but have not seen anything that would tell me how to configure Zen Cart to apply shipping charges the way we are doing on the yahoo site. At first glance it seems like Zen Cart has a robust shipping setup, which it probably is, I just can't seem to figure it out. Some aspects seem to be close to what I want, but I need a combination of modules. I can really use some help.

It would be very helpful if someone could help get started in right direction.

Currently we ship free to the 48 contiguous United States
Which the free shipping module see to be what I want, but I am not sure how to exclude Hawaii, Alaska and other counties.

For Hawaii, Alaska, and other countries we use a combined shipping charge consisting of a flat rate per order plus a price per pound (The charge is a rate per order + a rate per pound example: $10.00 per order + $3.00 per pound).
I thought zone shipping would work, but it is for counties only not states (according to the book). Which means I couldn't use it for Hawaii and Alaska.

We also have other shipping options that are available to all customers. they are:
2nd day air
3 day select
next day air

All rates are also per order + per pound. Again I see modules that will calculate per unit, per weight, but not both (that I can see). I am not sure how to combine them. In yahoo is seemed easier as you defined the shipping rules to apply.

Any help or direction I can get me would be greatly appreciated. I am finding the shipping configuration very confusing.
