I do not have a live link, it is hosted on my local machine. Using ZC 1.5, Oxford Dark template.

Usually when you can't post a link you might be able to post a screenshot of the offender...lol That would help a lot too so we can see what is what...my brain can think complicated and weird so images help.

but for now --- go to your store files/includes/templates/oxford folder/common/

these two take care of the footer text stuff:
    tpl_footer_menu.php
    tpl_footer.php

    then in the same path/oxford/templates/tpl_ezpages_footer_menu.php

    that is another file

listing what mods you installed would be helpful too.

    Hello DarkAngel,

Thank You for our quick response..You're right, should have posted a pic, will do so now. Did not originally because I had installed back to top mod, tried to add social networking sidebar, could not get them to play well together, so I took out the sidebar. I had originally posted in back to top forum (with pic), as I thought maybe that may have caused the issue. I am usually very good about adding mod, checking site to see if I have achieved desired results before adding any more mods. I also have another demo site on my local machine with the same ZC version and template. I then tried adding back to top to that site, and everything was fine, so I moved my question to this forum so as not to go off topic in the other forum. Should have posted pic here, as I know others support these threads as well, but at the same time didn't want to clutter up thread with duplicate content...but you are also right because that ma help others that run across this issue.

I also don't remember any of the mods that I've added have even touched the footer. So far, most of my mods have been to the Admin side of things.
Mods: DropShipCore, AddCustomersfromAdmin,BackupZencart, ckeditor,EditOrders,SuperOrders, WSIWYGeditor,FindDuplicateModels,SuperTracker,DisplayLogs,SearchLogs SearchConfigKeys. I also took out the slider that came with template and added Sliding Home Images (footer was still fine after adding sliding home images).

I compared the files you listed with my site, there were no differences.

    Name: footermenu.jpg

Size: 54.9 KB

Any help or ideas on where to look would be most awesome!

from the image it looks like maybe you edited the link some and something go taken out of the code...I do that all the time, annoys me when I dood it too...lol

since it is not a live site...you could take out all files and redo the store to default...add the template first to make sure it is behaving---her templates are so user friendly that even me that does not do much coding can get them...

If you take it to fresh files and the bottom is still messed up then it is something in the template...maybe just a width adjustment--doubt it but ya never know

then if it is looking right add one mod to test it right away...doing things that way will surely point you to the culprit.

now as for the mods being admin side only they should not interfere with the template footer...and me personally

I would get rid of the wysiwyg editor --- I read somewhere (not sure where cause it was awhile ago -- that those are easily hacked into and twas why it was removed. I use the ckeditor-for-zencart-3.7c (course I have 1.3.9h version too but did install one into my test 1.5 store and it worked) -- tis a bit different but once you get used to it it is wonderful.

Maybe it did not show up as messed until it had a few days to catch up with itself, so to speak.

    DarkAngel,

Thank you again for your quick response and advice...I really didn't want to start over, as I've done that a couple of times already, as I started building the site, after many edits and changes, I wanted to start fresh as this was going to be my final build of this site. I like as clean of a site and db as possible. So, I gave it another look, comparing my demo site using Firebug with the one that was correct to the one that wasn't.

FINALLY solved the issue !!! After comparing files and stylesheets and finding no answer, I noticed that on the "good" site, the images were ever so slightly smaller. Remember that I said that I tried to add the social networking sidebar, but couldn't get it to work so I took it out? Well, we are all told to compare this file and that file in case we need to merge, which I do. Never thought about the images...It seems the sidebar has the exact same images as the footer, named exactly the same, only larger. So when I copied over the images, they over wrote the ones in the folder and then of course my footer menu was drawing from those images. I went into my original template files, grabbed those images, then copied them to my site template to overwrite the files that had been originally overwritten.

    Now all is well.

So, now a heads up to anyone trying to add multiple social mods, check the images to see if they are a different size than the ones you are already using and if you still want to use the mod, I would change the new one's name by doing something like adding a 1 to the pic name and then look for the code in your new mod and change the code accordingly to reference your new image name.

I'm sure, as these new awesome templates with the social footer from picaflor are used, others will be running into this same issue. Perhaps in the future, maybe picaflor will change the image names of duplicate images of different sizes?

The social sidebar I was trying to add was also from picaflor (originally by someone else, but latest edit from picaflor). It is on their site as well as here.

    Thanks again..

    Sharon

    DarkAngel,

Forgot to add in my last post, I will take your advice on this. I had not seen the post you are referring to, but I've read SO many and not ALL of them, but I've seen many of your posts and know that you know what you are talking about.

I would recommend visiting the easy sliders home page for instructions on this.

    Thanks,

Can someone tell me if there is a setting some where to enable the new(featured/specials) images to show permanantly? Everytime I refresh the page I just get the headings showing and no product images, I want at least the new products images to show all the time and then customer click on featured or specials if they want to see them. Without the images it looks like there is a problem on the page. Link to site is; http://www.latelierbrocante.eu
    Thanks Kim
