Editing the attribute drop down menus

How can I edit the colors of the drop downs for my product attributes?

Without a look at your site, we can't be of much help. And, are we supposed to be psychic as to whether you want to change the background color, text color, border color, etc, etc, etc?

Assume I want to be able to change anything associated with the drop downs. I don't even know what exactly I want ot change, just want to know where in the code to begin.

Assume that all appearance items are changed in the stylesheet(s) unless the page source shows something like <span style....
Get a copy of Firefox and the firebug addon to help in finding the items you want to change.
