Can 2 linked products have separate product names?

I am desiring to link a number of products, for example 20 different products, they are all priced by attributes and the attributes are identical. I want to change the attributes on one and have it change for all that are linked. Can products be linked and have different titles but still share the same set of attributes without having to use the "copy to" attribute function for a multitude of products.

No, Linked Products are the same Product where the only difference is that there are 2 records in the table:
products_to_categories

and one of these is the master_categories_id ...

Do you know of an existing workaround? We have several products that have the exact same attributes that exist in multiple categories. It would be great if we could adjust the attribute $ value for a particular master product and have the attributes for each of the slave/linked products change with it automatically.

Does the Attributes Copier work for you?

When you have a Product with Attributes and want to copy them to a Category of Products, you are asked:

How should existing product attributes be handled?
-Delete first, then copy new attributes
-Update with new settings/prices, then add new ones
-Ignore and add only new attributes

If the same Product is in Linked to that Category it will get skipped as it already has everything in it ...

The Other Products will be updated as requested ...
1 Delete all attributes then copy the attributes from the selected Product
2 Update only matching Attributes and add any new attributes
3 Ignore matching Attributes and only add New attributes

We have 100's of products that have the same attributes that exist in multiple categories along with other products that have different attribute values in the same category... so we cannot use the copy to category function...

Are you able to make a Product that is disabled with just the Attribute you need to update?
