Default Pages scroll past bottom of content

Just upgraded to 1.5 from 1.39h.
Everything seems to be working except for this scrolling problem.
The pages just scroll past the bottom of the pages content except for a couple of pages with a lot of content i.e.. site map.

Checked the tpl.footer.php and CSS , couldn't find anything.

Any suggestions pointing me in a specific direction would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi:
    My Site

Created a Temp folder and a new database and installed 1.5.
The Temp folder web pages were fine , no scrolling beyond the end of the content.

Transferred the same identical files to a new folder, and also a new database.
imported into this new database the original database from my 1.39h site. and updated the database to 1.5

Now I have the scrolling beyond the web pages content.

Thank you for any helpful info

Go to that linked page. View Source. Down around line #1934 you'll see that you have a whole new page of code down there, starting with a new <html> tag and continuing with a <head> tag and a <body> tag and so on. I imagine that would displease some browsers! I predict that when you fix that issue, your problem will go away.

    Hi Rob:
    Thanks for investigating.
That snippet of code including html, head, and body tags are for a popup window from a side box. That coding I have on other sites without the scrolling problem.

You may well have gotten away with it on other sites, but the fact remains, no valid HTML document can have multiple html tags or multiple body or head tags. Period. Whenever someone has an odd problem with a page, I always check the validity of their code. Valid code displays properly in almost all browsers made in the last 10 years (though with some minor differences, mostly in IE.) Invalid code -- well, all bets are off. If it's invalid you really have no way of knowing what the browser will do with it.

    Hi Rob:
The test is easily exercised. Removed the side box and consequently all the involved code was also removed. Confirmed via the source code, the html, body, and head tags were removed.
These tags were for the new pop-up window that is generated.
Unfortunately the scrolling beyond the end of the content still persists.

Not sure why, but some of it seems to becoming from this rule in index_home.css:

    .centerBoxWrapper {display:none;}

Remove that and see what happens.

    Hi:
    Thanks for the effort.
    I did remove .centerBoxWrapper {display:none;} from index_home.css.
Unfortunately, nothing changed still scrolling past end of page
