You have 2 add to cart buttons on your product_info ...
When you use the top one, you get quantity 1, regardless of the quantity entered ...
When you use the bottom add to cart, you get the right quantity when you enter it ...
I suspect that you have the first add to cart setup outside the form tags or some other error that is causing the quantity issue ...

Yes, I had two instances of the Add To Cart <!--bof Add to Cart Box -->...<!--eof Add to Cart Box--> code on the tpl_product_info_display.php. What is interesting is that after I deleted the instance at the page bottom, the top instance which was not carrying the selected quantity to the Checkout, began to work again. Is there something else that would preclude having multiple instances on one page?

You would need some sort of java to change the quantity when set in the bottom to fill the one in the top as the top one is the one being "heard" when the button is clicked to submit ...
