Is this on a new install? Have you set you 2x configure files to match your database settings? If this is an existing/live store then have your configure files been modified by you...or someone else?

this is an existing store, i changed nothing and i am the only one who has access.
it happened the other day also and godaddy ran tests and said everything was good. but when she went to my store it actually came back itself so i am very confused.
this store i have been using for a couple of years now.

i did a backup right as the site was working last 2 days ago, the backup was through the mysql database. if i do a restore will i lose anything besides a new order or 2

GoDaddy has been having server trouble that cause this sort of problem for a couple of days. I suggest you find a better host.

so i let godaddy know whats goin on and i get this reply

Hopefully its not that hard to move to a new host, i'm kinda nervous about losing all my stuff.
Also not sure how to do the mysql database.
