Is there a way to set up certain customers to have access to certain areas? v1.5

Just like the Group Pricing option. You can go into each customer, click a drop-down arrow, and select "Discount Pricing Group" (if that is set up). I'd like to have an area (maybe certain EZ pages) that can only be accessed if the customer bought in to a special "Group". The I would go into their profile, and "enable that group".

Or maybe I could set up a product category, make those products free, and enable only those certain customers to be able to access it.

Is there a way to make this happen ?
