Simply Grey template and overrides

Hello,

Fresh install. I am using the simply grey template but I don't seem to be able to get any other overrides to work. I have made a simply grey override folder and I am trying to get overrides to work by uploading them to that folder. Is this correct? Before adding simply grey I had made a folder entitled "custom" and had no problems with overrrides. I deleted the folder called customs after the simply grey template was installed, is this correct? Do I use both folders? Thank you!

No, the Simply Grey template should have its own override folders. Have you selected Simply Grey in admin ?

Yes, simply grey template has been selected...

So simply grey is my override folder correct? That is how I have and for some reason nothing will work. I tried using Simply grey before and had the same problem...

The template itself is working, any other overrides I attempt do not

The template should have several override folders in various places. Exactly what are you trying to change ?

I'm trying to add the Share & Bookmarking Widget. I had to create (copy) /includes/templates/YOUR_TEMPLATE/templates/tpl_product_info_display.php as there wasn't one, then I followed the directions and no luck! But I had problems with others also. I'm sure it's something I am doing/not doing but I can;t seem to figure it out

I forgot I also created includes/templates/mostlygrey/css/product_info.css for the Share & Bookmarking Widget as there was none.

You changed the YOUR_TEMPLATE folder name to mostlygrey, right ?

I just checked the store again and now it is showing the code for the Share & Bookmarking Widget where the buttons should be
