Cart Update issue

When a customer loads mixed types of products 1 or more "No Max Qty" product items with one or more "Max 1 qty" products, the update quantity fails to update the quantities in the shopping cart .

Note: when *just* "No Max Qty" products are in the cart, it functions as it should. I'm thinking it's somewhere in the /classes/shopping_cart.php adjust_quantity function, however I'm just getting into it today.

Can someone tell me exactly what the "Product Qty Min/Unit Mix:" really does or controls? I've tried YES and then NO it seems to make no significant impact on this case.

I appreciate any assistance offered.

The product form settings just below the product qty units shows:

Product Qty Min/Unit Mix: () Yes ()No

Default is YES.

The answer in the URL above

Mixed ON means that they

can

"mix" or match Attributes to build the 36 Minimum setting ... example:
12 Red 14 Yellow 10 Green

= Minimum restriction of 36

I have searched the FAQ's before posting, and didn't find the answer, thus the post.

Restating my issue:

When products in the shopping cart are all of the same type (No maximum qty ordered), the update functions properly.

However, if there is a (or more) product(s) which has a max of 1 qty (such as a download only product) and other products with a No Max qty of the product, the update does not work.

I just want to know where in the code to begin troubleshooting this, or if someone has been able to correct this, I would appreciate the assistance.

To make sure I understand the question, in a stock test site I set a product to have a maximum quantity of 1 (which turns off the quantity box in the shopping cart) and added one of those to the cart along with one of a product which has no maximum quantity. I changed the no-max product's quantity to 3, and clicked the Refresh image. The cart was updated properly. Have you installed any mods which might affect the shopping cart ?

I will look into this, and get back to you but I don't have any mods installed that affect the shopping cart.
