can't log in to my admin login

Everything was working fine until two days ago. When I try to log in to my admin, I get a message saying that I have a user name or password error. I tried to reset the password multiple times using the 'forgot my password' option and it sends me the temp pw, I use the reset and it then says there is a security issue and cycles. Any ideas?

If you set off the brute lockout you will get that behavior trying to reset the password. Have you tried from another IP?

Thanks Melanie. I believe that you were right. It stayed off for 2+ days. Yesterday, for no apparent reason, I was able to finally change it through the lost password and it accepted it. I did try it from another IP ( my phone) and it did not work. What is 'brute lockout'?

Brute lockout simply means that your IP address was blocked because you failed too many times... for security
