Default Help with "Call For Price"

I am using V1.50 ... Is there a way to make the price of my products display "call for price" (text or image) by setting the price or quantity or some other database variable to a certain value? A setting in the admin section? (without having to add or change any code or add anything to my sql database). I have read several posts on this subject, and I may be missing something simple... but I just can't seem to find the answer. I have apsona shop admin installed so it is very easy and fast for me to update the field values of my products..... and as usual, I will really appreciate any help that I get. Thanks!!!

Default Re: Help with "Call For Price"

I have found a quick and easy solution VIA my apsona shop admin. What I was originally looking for was a "setting" in the admin, such that if my quantity got to "0" , or my price was set to "0", my cart would display "Call for price"... As far as a "Mass Update", the easy and fast solution that I found was to export my (product) database "is call" field VIA apsona shop-admin (as well as product ID, quantity, and price fields), and change the "is call" field to "1" (on the products that had a "0" quantity or price), and re-upload (update products). The entire process, to get a few hundred products to display "call for price" took about 90 seconds. I was like Dorothy in the Wizard of Oz, I had the solution right there the entire time and didn't even know it.
That being said, I would still like to know if there was/is a setting to display "call for price" in the admin in case I run out of a product,,,, so that website would display "call for price" instead of "sold out".... Thanks!! I hope this post helps someone else that is having the same problem I was.. I can thank the Zen Cart community for suggesting Apsona shop admin to me a while back. The more I use shop-admin, the more I use it..
