Admin Catalog Sort Order

I hate to even ask such a newbie question...........
The sort order in my admin catalog keeps reversing after I log out, I have set everything back to default I think, where all do I need to adjust this? It's a local store that I have taken over for someone and trying to help a company get online.
The sort order on the "actual" store is fine but it is aggravating that it keeps losing the order on the admin side.......
I appreciate any help!

Whatv template are you using. I saw this recently and it was a template issue. Happy to hook you up with the fix if it's the same template.

I think the template is abbington_mega but am not 100% sure as I just took over a store for someone else.....

That was the template... but we cannot seem to remember what the fix was. It was in a template file is all we can remember... check product index and category etc
