Constant error log creation

Hi Since my domain hosting company has updated their PHP to 5.3.15, my website is producing an error message all the time and filling up my allocated space. I am running version 1.3.8 that has been patched to work with the new PHP. The error started before I did the patch.

Sorry to say, but the quickest path to your website (re-)working might be to upgrade ...

Where are all the error files generated?

It might be worth asking your hosting company about the error, send them those same details.

However as lat9 says you don't want to keep putting off upgrading forever, as PHP and zen-cart progress you're going to run into more and more issues using old code.

Just been trawling through the website and found tis in the cache folder:

1. The "PHP Startup: Unable to load dynamic library" errors can ONLY be fixed by your hosting company. That's a problem in the PHP configuration, and is almost certainly outside of your control. They're the experts in that area.

2. The "ereg" errors are a result of you using code that's designed for an older version of PHP than what your server is using. Zen Cart did away with those things in 2009. If you're going to run your site on a server using the latest versions of PHP (which is a good idea), then you'll also need to use an upgraded version of Zen Cart which is built to run on that PHP version.
