Price bigger than entered

Hi, I intered a price of $5, but when I do preview or otherwise it puts price at $5.52.
What's going on and how do I fix it. This is a fresh install..
I'm assuming it happens often, but there is no chat or other way I could find this information so I'm posting here.

I actually did configure the shipping weight module.. which I assume is somehow related, even though there are multiple shipping methods, and thus no reason to integrate the shipping price in the product display.
though I have since reconfigured it, but the price stayed the same,
so I'm assuming it's not the shipping module though I dono :-S.
Zencart is version 1.5.1

There is an admin setting to display prices including or excluding tax (European stores often have to do this). If you have any taxes active, that could be the issue... seeing it live will help.

hi all I am new to zencart

I am also having the same problem as elspru

when i put somthing up at say €100 it turns out at €73.85

how can I fix this

problem solved

go to localization/currencies

edit your default currencies

change the value to 1.00000000

and click update (",) happy days all done
