Default How do I stopo my server from running out of memory?

I contacted support as to why my site crashed and they told me this
The server is out of memory:
    [root@ip-118-139-182-143 ~]# free -m
total used free shared buffers cached
    Mem: 1024 1024 0 0 0 0
    -/+ buffers/cache: 1024 0
    Swap: 0 0 0

Apache is using 1111.38 MB RAM, which is more memory than is present on the server. I have restarted the service, but you will want to review the httpd configuration and review your coding. The site is now loading.
they told a me a programming could fix this?

anyone have any ideas what I can do?

    thank you

Ultimately, you simply need more memory.

However, there are several things you can do to mitigate the problem.

    1. Find a better host
    2. Create a SWAP file
    3. Reduce the number of apache processes.

This is not a zencart problem and you should be seeking advice from your host (or find a better host).

    Cheers
