If categories_status=0, Redirect the category to homepage

hello, when i check the categories, if categories_status=0, i get "There are no products to list in this category."
i want to redirect these categories to homepage
any help?

- Why do you feel this is necessary?
- Why are visitors hitting those categories in the first place?
- If they're getting there because of links INSIDE your site, then you should simply fix those links.
- If they're getting there because search engines have old links, then it would be much more meaningful to your customers if you were to present a message instead of sending them someplace generic like the home page.

Why not just change the message (by editing that text in your language file) to something like "We're sorry, the category you selected appears to have been changed. Please <a href="index.php">click here to see our home page for the latest deals</a>."
