    Default Two Quick Questions - Surf's Up! Template

    I have two quick questions, hopefully someone will be able to help me with this.

    I need to change the heading "Product(s)-" from black to white on all Category pages, and I would like to know if there's a way to add a little extra space, like a padding, between pictures in the category lists. Many of the stock photos go right out to the edge, instead of having a white border around them. So they run together, and it's hard to tell where one photo ends and the other begins. A perfect example of both these issues is at http://www.annies-toy-chest.com/toy-...index&cPath=46.

    Thanks very much, as always, for your help...she loves the shopping cart, and is starting to get increased sales from it!

    Tag this to the bottom of stylesheet.css

    .productListing-data {padding: 8px 0px;}
    #listCell0-1 a {color:#fff;}

    If you want the listings to be even more definitive, you could add alternate colours to their backgrounds:

    .productListing-odd {background: #f5f4f3;}
    .productListing-even {background: #e2e1e1;}

    (Of course, choose your own hex colours)

    And TURN OFF category counts (ie: the numbers appearing in the "manufacturers" menu). Having this ON makes the site much slower...

    Oh... you may also need this at the bottom of the stylesheet: (link hover colour = red)

    #listCell0-1 a:hover {color:#ff0000;}

    I did what you recommended, and it did solve the problem I was having...there is a nice wide white space around each of the images now.

    But it caused new problems, and removing the code snippets didn't return things to the way they were.

    If you go to http://www.annies-toy-chest.com/toy-store/ you'll see what's happening. The text in the sideboxes was all white, but now the counts and prices are black, and they shouldn't be. (How can I get rid of the counts in the left sidebox, btw?) Also the text links in the center box, and all subsequent pages, have disappeared. It flashes up red if I mouseover the link, but that's not what I wanted...I wanted it to be black like the prices just below each one.

    I didn't make any changes at all except to add

    .productListing-data {padding: 8px 0px;}
    #listCell0-1 a {color:#fff;}

    and

    #listCell0-1 a:hover {color:#ffffff;}

    (trying to get the links to turn black again) at the bottom of my stylesheet.css. I don't think these two changes should have done this, but it was working fine beforehand and now it's not. So I'm confused.

    Please help? Thank you!!

    Can anyone please help me with this? The site looks wrong now, I don't know what caused it, removing the new lines of code didn't help, and I need to get it fixed stat.

    Thank you.

    I'm not exactly sure what you want what color, but the black sidebox text is coming from here:

    body {

    margin: 0;

    font-family: verdana, arial, helvetica, sans-serif;

    font-size: 75.5%;

    color: #000000;

    background-color: #000000;

    }

    Probably best not to style stuff site-wide in the body rule.

    Change that to #FFFFFF, and then add this to the sheet:

    .centerColumn a{color: #000000;}

    Steve:

    That ALMOST solved the problem. The text in both sideboxes is white again, which is what I needed. The counts in the left sidebox are also gone, thank you. BUT............... Now the prices in the center box have gone white and are invisible. LOL

    Also, on the category pages (http://www.annies-toy-chest.com/toy-...index&cPath=38) and individual product pages (http://www.annies-toy-chest.com/toy-...roducts_id=679), all the text has gone to white.

    Is there any way to make them black again, without screwing up the rest of the site?

    Thank you!!

    .centerColumn {color: #000000;}

    The first rule I mentioned turned all the links in the centerColumn black (.centerColumn a).

    This one turns all text that aren't links in the centerColumn black.
