    Default Cart display issues

    Hi,

    I am working on www.dragons.digi-blue.co.uk, using version 1.3.9 h.

When I add products to my cart, a white line separates them. However, if I add 3 or more, it seems the white line disappears between products 2 and 3, if I add 5, the line disappears between products 2 and 3, and 4 and 5. How can I fix this?

Also, is there a way to remove the select box next to the red x? If you click the red x it removes the product from the cart, and if you click the update link, it also updates the cart which makes the select box redundant.

In your stylesheet.css rowOdd has a border-top but rowEven does not. Perhaps that's it?

    Hi Rob,

I added the border, tried both top and bottom and it still does not show the border between items 2 and 3. Any other ideas?

We may need to revert to code fix mode for a little bit.

When I throw a few things into the cart and display the cart page, then check the code, I find a few problems which may be overpowering the CSS, simply by confusing the browser a little bit.

    1. There is a <span id="cartImage" which is reused for every product. IDs must be unique.

    2. Same with the <span id="cartProdTitle"

    3. There are 3 missing closing DIV tags, and one extra closing SPAN tag. I can't tell where those errors actually are, except to say they're somewhere in your template changes. Not very helpful, am I?

There are many stylesheets. Check to make sure they're not fighting each other, especially as regards the rowOdd and rowEven definitions in stylesheet.css. Something is preventing almost any changes to styles I try to edit using Firebug.

    Hi Rob,

This is really strange. I have used the tpl_shopping_cart_default.php from the template_default and added this to my custom template, I don't think I have done any changes to this, mainly just styled it. Unfortunately we had to do a lot of customisation to get the site ready for Dreamworks, this meant styling each page individually as each page had to be laid out perfectly, i.e. aligning things, etc. I always use the CSS and ID function in Firefox to find things I need to customise, never tried the one where I can look at div tags and stuff, maybe I should learn how to do this?

I don't understand those two statements. What did you do to "get the site ready for Dreamworks"? What is meant by "styling each page individually" -- did you use page-specific stylesheets? I can probably help more if I understand what you did to get to this stage.

    Hi Rob,

There were a lot of things we had to change from the standard way that Zen Cart generates it pages. Example, the only page that should have breadcrumbs was the products, and it was recommended I create a style sheet for each page to hide the breadcrumbs. Also, we had to make sure all the field sets, legends, etc. line up, the legends have a background that lines up left and right with the background for the field sets, etc. Each centre column had to get its own background, I can go on. Does this help?
