Dealing with custom pruducts

Hi.

I'm still in the development of my store front, but before I spend more time setting something up wrong, I want to tackle this conundrum head on.

My store is a custom cloth diaper store. 90% of my items are custom made, so the price is based on what options the customer chooses. My thought was that each item would have a base price....based on all of the cheapest options available, then when ordering when choosing their options it would add extra on to the total.

Is that the best way to go about it? How would I do that? Is there any good examples of custom products out there?

In general, zencart's ATTRIBUTES system handles most "cusomisation" issues with products.

You would do well, however, to purchase a copy of the USER MANUAL... This is a comprehensive guide to managing your webshop admin.

Buy it and read it thoroughly... (The first 55 pages can be ignored if you are installing on a hosted web server).
