SEO module problems

I've been trying to get Ultimate SEO URLs 2.200 for Zen Cart 1.5.0 to work.
I upload all the files to my site. I edit the htaccess file to correspond with the stores root
I'm supposed to have options added to my admin now.. but there's nothing there. Nothing has changed.

The site and all pages give this error

WARNING: An Error occurred, please refresh the page and try again.

The admin works, I can access all admin options, just all webpages dont work.
And I've been trying this for hours. I have tried everything I don't know what else to do..
So I tried Simple SEO and that program wasn't working either.

God this is so frustrating.
So, I installed Ultimate SEO, but it's not added to my zen cart. And all pages are down.

What shall I do?

Really simple solution to that one...uninstall it!

You don't actually NEED' it. But if you really really want rewritten URL'S then install URI rewrite from Ceon.

Yesterday I deleted my main site and did a fresh 1.5 install and new DB with Ultimate SEO and a new template on my main site: prommart com

Still rebuilding.

Decided to return to the "dark side" by going back to re-writing after several years when I went to 1.5. My prior testing with Ultimate SEO on 1.5 test carts has been very good.*

There is a new support thread for Ultimate SEO, as it looks like this old plugin is going to be kept alive. Here is the support thread:

Note that in post #5 I posted that I couldn't get the latest 2.200 version to appear in admin. In post #17 a fix is on the way.

In the meantime, version 2.150 has been working for me.

One other point: Some have reported problems when upgrading to 1.5. All of my testing has been done on fresh 1.5 installs, where Ultimate SEO has installed without fail (except for version 2.200 thus far.)

*There is a pesky page back button/page not found issue in Chrome on SOME on my testing sites. But not on my main site. Plan to keep eye on it as I rebuild with mods to see if and when problem appears again.
