Default lost my page... was testing the ez pags

I went into the ez- pages and tried to create a simple page to see what it would look like on my site. I got a 404 error. So I went and deleted the ez-pages. I am still getting the 404 error. I tried to find where the error may be, but I am at a loss. Can someone help me please?

A 404 error is simply a 'File not found' error, which is generally quite easy to find and fix. First identify the file name (and path) of the file that can't be found, then check your files to find where the file *actually* exists and copy it over to where it *should* exist (or conversely, identify where the3 file actually exists and change the code that calls this file so that it is pointing to the correct location).

the file is my home page. www.fabricnhobby.com. when i type it in to the browzer, i get:an index page and if i go thru the control pannel, it shows up as: www.fabricnhobby/index.php/main_page= i tried to find both but i am not sure i am looking in the right place. my manuals are at home and i am in a cancer facility currently. so please excuse my mess up, i just want to get my page back. then i can wait to go home before trying to do the ez pages.

That page suggests that you don't have an index page (index.php for Zencart) in the root (top) directory of your site.

As stevesh has stated, you appear to be missing the index.php file. (perhaps you deleted more than you thought you did?)

Did you type that in, or was it a copy/paste? If you typed it in you are missing the ".com" portion of your domain name. If you did a cut 'n' paste it means that you have incorrect data in your configure.php file.

If I were you I'd be doing a file comparison between the zencart distribution files and your store files to see if anything else is missing.

So I went and deleted the ez-pages.
Exactly how did you do this? Did you delete or change any files on your server around this time?

In the control panel, i used the remove button. I was sicker (from treatments) than I thought and did not relize it. I am not sure exactly what I did to. So I am not sure what I changed.
