Password protecting subcategories?

Hello there, sorry if I am in the wrong section for this. I am a ZenCart Noob and am trying to find an addon that will allow me to password protect certain directories for use in a Photography site. I found this discussion and tried to install the addon/patch, but some of the things that were asked to be added/changed were not actually available (Certian files that were asked to be modified did not exist). I assume that is because I was trying to install this over versions 1.5. Does anyone know how to get this to work on 1.5 or of another plugin that will allow me to do what I need? I saw the Hidden Categories plugin and will try that if that is the last resort as I would REALLY love to be able to PW protect certain areas for my clients. Did you *really* mean to say "directories"? When it comes to websites, usually the word "directories" refers to files/folders/directories on the server. But then you went on to talk about "categories" and "certain areas".
So, I'm not sure what you really meant to say in the first place.

Sorry, no I meant Categories. Such as a main "Weddings" category with sub-categories such as "Steves" and "Johns" and "Elishas" each of which would have its own PW to access it. That way only those that are meant to view the items in the sub-categories would have the password to view and purchase said items. Is that any clearer? Sorry, I misspoke in the first post.
