Why do I have blank ALT Tags for images?

I am curious, I just recently saw a post from DrByte saying that an unmodified version of Zen Cart would show the product's name as the image ALT tag. Granted this was an old (2004) post. My question is what modification causes the ALT tag to not be displayed.

The only modifications I've made are template changes and I have not changed anything in tpl_modules_main_product_image.php however the ALT tag is still blank.


Any ideas?

Another note.. The tags appear everywhere except the main page... So my main page loads with a category by default. However the images don't have alt tages. They seem to everywhere else though.

Sorry DrByte for the delay in my reply. I've been very busy with other commitments.

Current version is 1.5.0
last upgrade was from 1.3.9h to 1.5.0
upgrades were via FTP, official procedure...

I think that information will cover the basics. the others don't seem to relate.

- What addons have you installed?
- How is your site different from original Zen Cart code?
- What exactly is drawing that page? Is that supposed to be a category-listing? or a product-listing? How did you configure the store to draw that content as the home page? And then what changes did you make to templates to make things appear that way?
I suspect that your custom code is attempting to pass non-existent data to the zen_image function, and thus the alt tags are left empty, since you're passing nothing to them.
