How do I get my computer to use Notepad++ instead of Dreamweaver?

I am in the process of changing my logo via instructions that I have. I need to edit text but when I right click on the file that needs editing in Filezilla I get the error message basically saying that Dreamweaver CS4 cannot be found. I had Dreamweaver CS4 installed, uninstalled it. I currently have Dreamweaver CS5.5 (received free from my hosting company) and Notepad++. How do I go about fixing this so I can edit text. Any help is greatly appreciated.

This isn't a ZC issue, the issue is most likely to be I to do with your computer/installation of dreamweaver so you would need to find the solution elsewhere other than this forum.
For the record you shouldn't be trying to edit ZC code with dreamweaver anyway it'll cause you nothing but grief.

PS why do you need to edit code to change your logo?

I have instructions from the template that I received stating I need to use a plain text editor to edit 4 things, including width, height, text and logo. Thanks for the help.

safest way is to save a copy of the file you plan to edit to your desktop, do the editing in your plain text editor then ftp it back to your host. Always keep an unedited copy of your file though just incase you make a mistake.

You didn't mention what OS you use, but if it's Windows, you can open Windows Explorer, click Tools - Folder Options and the File Types tab, scroll down to find PHP, and change the default program to Notepad++.

Use the CKEeditor plugin for editing from your Zencart admin (Conditions page and such). The other editors you mention are not Zencart plugins and are for your desktop editing: edit any files from your computer then ftp them up to your site.
