    Default Canada Post no longer offers Sell Online

    Hi Everyone,

    Does anyone have a Canada Post sell online retailer ID? Apparently Canada Post isn't offering this service anymore and the module available for download on zen-cart doesn't work. Does anyone have any modules that can use Canada Post with the updated Developer site?

    I don't know of an alternate module as yet.
    And I haven't had time to study their new tech requirements in order to make any adaptations yet.

    That said, I have two stores using the CP module which are functioning fine right now. I just checked, and they're actively getting quotes back just like they always have.

    Hi DrByte - I haven't needed the Sell Online feature for a few years. When I called to get a Retailer ID they said they aren't accepting any new customers anymore and to check out this link online http://www.canadapost.ca/cpo/mc/busi...ne/default.jsf

    I tried to make sense of it, but I'm not good enough with Zen implementation right now to tackle it on my own.

    I'm not sure what to do in the mean time I'm hoping I can figure something out soon.

    In the meantime I'd suggest something that I always suggest storeowners think about ...
    Instead of going for just-in-time quotes, why not give some thought to the kinds of shipments you'll be making and see whether perhaps a "table rate" might work, such as flat-rate pricing up to a certain qty or weight, and then another until the next qty or weight level, etc.
    Having that worked out not only gives you a bridge until getting a CP thing working, but also gives you a fallback if you ever need it if CP's services go down for some reason.

    True I will have to do that because I tried the shippingeasy module and I couldn't get it working. I think there is an outbound port blocked on the server. I tried calling their support but it was useless.
