Default What considered to be a good parse time?

After customer types login information and hit the login button, my page parse time is the following:

    Parse Time: 6.874 - Number of Queries: 911 - Query Time: 3.86002779839

Almost 4 sec seems a bit too long. I would like to know if this is something that I should try to reduce or it is normal and I should not worry about it.

All the other pages are under 1 sec.

At the time of testing my internet download speed was 18mbps upload speed was 3.5mbps

Let me know your thoughts. Thanks

If you go to the numinix website and click the demo link for the FEC mod, you can actullay try out how their installed system works. On the demo every page works very fast, almost instantly you are on the next page. I wish they would have the parse time enabled so I could see the numer of queries.
I wonder if the old checkout system still functions together with the new one somehow and that is why my login takes so long?

    Any ideas?

Further reading about slow checkout issues, I found out that the shipping modules are taking time, since they are retrieving information from different servers.
This makes sence, since the only slow page on my website is right after customer login, right before the shipping options will show up.

I turned off all of my shipping modules and the page came up instantly. So, there is the answer.

Now it's time to turn them back on one by one and find the culprit. Those servers are on some very fast backbones and should not be doing what you describe.
    A little help with colors.

Could you peek in your Zen Cart Admin in the Tools ... Server Info ... and see what your Load speeds are for your site?

Yes, I did one by one and see which one is the slow one. All of them had almost exactly the same time the server spent with.
