help question Payment Step 3, confirm order, just takes me back to step 2!

To make sure it's working, I tried to buy something from my own store.

Step 1 - Checkout, that worked just fine

Step 2 - Payment information, I entered all the info.

Then when I get to Step 3, confirm your order, it sends me back to Step 2! But it doesn't say WHY. It doesn't say, put in this information or that information. It just keeps going back to Step 2.

    WHY?

    Thanks!

    A new install yes?
Can you switch to classic template and see what happens when you try then.
Also does an account get created in admin each time?
What do you have in your cache folder of error logs?

In your hosting account, usually public html/cache

Okay. I am EXTREMELY grateful for any help here, thank you.

There are many files with names similar to: /public_html/cache/myDEBUG-1348020344-807370.log

Since I made repeated efforts to buy something from myself on September 18, I am looking at the ones with that date. Some of these files talk about banners, blah blah. Now here's one, "[19-Sep-2012 02:45:54 UTC] ERROR: Failed sending email to: "Madwoman of Easthampton" <shopkeeper@> with subject: "ALERT: PayPal Direct Payment Error (10501 [])" (failed validation)"

So now I'm going to check my ZenCart admin panel to make sure the pay-to email is right.

Okay, under Configuration, E-Mail Options, I found two emails that instead of [email protected],
said shopkeeper @madwomanofeasthampton.com, you see, with the space between shopkeeper and @. I fixed that.

Email Address (Displayed to Contact you) [email protected]
Email Address (sent FROM) [email protected]

All the other emails appear to be correctly written, at least.

It still doesn't work. I tried, again, to buy something from myself, but again I get knocked back to Step 2 from the Payment Step 3 confirm. However, I do not see a new file in the cache that has today's date on it, now. I do see one from yesterday, when I tried to buy something from myself at a different computer. But the failed attempt a few minutes ago, I don't see it.

What's wrong? I'm going to reboot and I am asking you good folk to please help me, and I am thanking you very sincerely, in advance.

    Yours,

Perhaps I should add that it might be relevant that under Modules, Payment, the relevant info is:

PayPal Website Payments Pro (USA) PayPal 0 Processing
PayPal Express Checkout PayPal 0 Processing

    (Processing refers to Orders Status.)

These two screen shots are probably also relevant:

I thought I had SSL enabled! I mean - don't I? What, oh what is wrong?

    Thanks again in advance,

Go into admin/tools/template selection and set your template to the default (green). Then try buying again. Also download your cache folder to your computer for reference, then delete all your debug files (only the debugs) from your live cache folder so we have a clean sheet. Once you do your green template purchase attempt then post back any bugs.

DON'T delete your copied backup copy of those cache/debug files as this may contain clues to any other bugs that you may or may not realise you have yet.

OKay, I will do that this evening.

Here is another tidbit of information:

I called PayPal and they told me that shopkeeper@madwomanofeasthampton wasn't approved for Payments Pro, even though a week ago they told me it was, or would be. The reason is that it is a child account, and the parent account IS approved for Payments Pro, and the child account should be, too, but it didn't get done right on their end.

Soooooo maybe that's all it is. But really, from looking at the archives, there are several threads describing this same problem.

    Thank you in advance,

    IT LIVES!

I'm reporting my experience in the hope it may help others.

PayPal approved a parent account of mine for Website Payments Pro, and told me to create child accounts for each of my web stores, so I have [email protected] to receive payments from madwomanofeasthampton.com, shopkeeper@websiteNumber2 to receive payments from websiteNumber2.com, and so on. They promised that Website Payments Pro would apply to these accounts because the parent account is approved.

    BIG LIE.

Today I rushed home from work to get them while they are still open. They sent me around and around, until finally I did what I hate to do, I cussed them out. I've been working with them for THREE MONTHS! Then they told me that each PayPal account can receive payments from ONLY ONE DOMAIN.

Finally they gave me to this wonderful Indian genius lady, who said that's not true at all. She got madwomanofeasthampton.com up and running, and paying into the PARENT account, which is [email protected]. She said that the cultureclick.biz account can receve payments from any number of domains! So now, once I do the SSL integration on the websiteNumber2.com, she will set it up so THAT website ALSO pays to [email protected].

She said that one PayPal account can receive payments from any number of domains.

    Sheesh.
