Default Really Slow - Have Not Added Products Yet...Yikes

We will eventually have close to 6K items on the site. I have yet to set up 1 and the site seems like it's crawling along...any ideas? Thanks - and also check out blog.baystatetoolsupply.com to keep your head on straight! coolpics.baystatetoolsupply.com

Thanks Kobra - I did that and at 1st my Parse time was 0.0477 but it kept getting higher/longer as I added categories (with no images) & it eventually got to a crawling 18.657 Parse time. I still have not added a single product, and all but 1 category has no image associated with it. I re-read Dr.Bytes getting started post & tried the enable the Gzip Compression & that didn't seem to do anything, so I disabled it again. Also - the Admin is just as slow when adding categories, but I'm not sure if that's part of any of this.

Any images I've added so far (logos, 1 category) I loaded through Admin, should I be trying out the Image Manager/Handler?

    Thanks again,
    Brad

All of your pages load fast for me?!

    Query Time: 0.068890881713867

Usually they bounced between .05 and .07 for each page.

I would re-enable gzip compression regardless of whether you felt it 'did' anything, just good practice at this point.
