    Default Ebony & Ivory Template - CSS Help Needed

    I'm trying the free Ebony & Ivory template from the plugins section. IMO it looks stiking, but has some quirks.

    http://www.prommart.com/night-moves-...ml?cPath=10_11

    Link above shows main two problems for now:

    1. Categories: if the category or subcategory name is too long, instead of wrapping it overwrites the name. I could shorten the names (and lengthen them via meta title) but would rather not.

    2. The additional photos in straight vertical line. Would prefer horizontal if can.

    Any help greatly appreciated, thanks!

    (template may be a little tricky....)

    EDIT: Might as well throw out no. 3...the specials page:

    http://www.prommart.com/specials.html

    Can it easily be made into columns as normal?

    Template almost looks to me like it was intended to be Responsive, but it isn't that I can tell. Just fluid.

    1. Try adding:

    #categoriesContent {width: 200px;}

    Adjust the 200 as necessary.

    3. A place to start:

    .specialsListBoxContents {float: left;}

    Thanks Stevesh! The specials page code worked, but I have to be careful of the image sizing, as it can break the layout with regard to the background images.

    http://www.prommart.com/specials.html

    As for the category names, the style sheet already has the column left set at 250px which it says is important (and which I think a tad too wide.)

    However, by going in to the admin/configuration/layout settings and setting the two left column settings to 210px it allows my category names to stretch out, so that will work. (200px was a tad too short for some names.)

    Thanks all! Still a few quirks I may have to come back to, and others yet to discover, but so far this template looks like a go.

    Thanks, but I already had mine set to 3 across. This stylesheet is doing something which kind of reminds me of the free zencart bootstrap responsive template, the way it lines things up. Even the prev/listing/next buttons were vertical stacked, until Dark Angel fixed that. But the vertical additional photos, I could live with that.

    In fact, the stylesheet seems truncated, seems like not everything is there. I added the code from the Classic sheet to have the strike-through and red price text for sales prices.

    Perhaps all this is by design.
