Adding a description field to category

Currently when i select a category a sub menu drops to reveal sub categories. What i would like to do is add a bried description field to each

For example


Vintage <-- sub category

Vintage area for vintage products <--description beneath
blah blah

If you select ''shop by interior style'' you can see the sub headings there, we would like to add a description for each here. THanks

Do you mean You want a category description then you add it through the edit button the same goes for the subcategory need to press the green edit button to add the description please see my site http://www.megasool.com I have description on both category and subcategory otherwise if I didn't,understand you sorry explain it better for me to help you further.
