"New Category" button is not showing

Hi guys,

I have installed and used zencart v1.5.0 for like a week. I have realised that I haven't got the "New Category" button since day one. I was trying to install files or create a folder somewhere under zencart. However, I still couldn't figure out how to resolve it. Could you guys please help me on identifying the possible problems and giving me suggestions on how to make it visible and functions. Thanks so much!

You should have categories only and when selecting a cat there should be only products

You can not create a new cat where there are products

Thanks for your swift reply! I understand what you are saying, but I didn't have it at the first place when there were no products at all. I am sure there will be a place where I can add new categories, right? How would I be able to add new cats?

You probably did but it vanished as soon as you added a product

Delete your products and start over

I can delete my products,that is not a big issue, but I am pretty sure that is not the ideal way to solve it. Imaging a zencart beginner added products before adding any new categories(just like I did), and sooner he realises that he wants to add up a new category but he has already added hundreds of products. What should he do at that point?
