Fedex removed the old API so anybody knows where to get the information?

I created a new account with FEDEX, the old one is not working and not estimating shipping prices anymore, it's still enabled, so my question is as Fedex discontinued their API , and I am using ZC 1.3.8a on that store, is it still possible to configure the module? or to use FEDEX shipping I will need necessarily to update my current ZC version to 1.5?

If yes, please tell me if anybody knows where to get the meter information and the keys, as all the old links are not found at FEDEX developer's site, and the information there is not showing any places where to find those, only that they discontinued the API.

ok, I was able to follow the procedure inside the developers site, however, I also now have a key and couldn't find a field for that inside the module configuration, neither in Fedex Express nor in Fedex Ground, is there any place that it needs to be added? Should uninstall and reinstall the module again to enter that info?

As I understand it, there is now only one single module, not separate modules for ground and express.
It sounds like you're still using the older module(s) instead of using the new module which uses the new API.

And yes, to your earlier question, you really do need to upgrade.

Apparently is working without the key I just did a bogus purchase and it looks fine ...
So the steps I did are Went to Fedex developers site, the re-register there, skip steps 1. Intro and 2. Test Credentials, so I went straight for step 3. Production and then registered there as a consultant, after filling up the form I was able to get the Meter number and a key, just entered the Meter Number along with my account number into the Admin, and it worked!

I have another ZC 1.5 in use, but I'm really picky about upgrading this store, due to the sheer amount of customization I have done to it over the years, and frankly I don't have time to check every single one against ZC 1.5, and I'm not sure if all my modules will work, so right now I have to stick with the old 1.3.8a until I found free time to do the update ...

1.3.8a has known vulnerabilities, know since about Jul 2009
You can be picky but so are the hackers and once hacked your task just becomes that much more complex
