    Default mod_fcgid: ap_pass_brigade failed in handle_request function

hi guys in need of some help i will try and explain what is happening
i log in to my admin area every thing is fine i then go to edit the order so i can mark it as dispatched and all i am getting is 500 internal error.
i can get invoice packing slip and everything else but for some reason when i go to edit it dose not load and it gives time out .
i have looked error log and all i can see is this.
[Sun Sep 30 21:03:59 2012] [warn] mod_fcgid: read data timeout in 60 seconds
    [Sun Sep 30 21:03:59 2012] [warn] (110)Connection timed out: mod_fcgid: ap_pass_brigade failed in handle_request function

everything was ok on friday as i did a paypal refund via admin edit order but when i go to log back in on sunday this is happening.
    i have changed nothing
i have emailed my internet provider and i got this response from them
We have had a look at the error logs and identified an issue with your script's execution time.

The maximum amount of time for a script to execute on the shared server is 60 seconds only. Your script is taking too long to execute hence it then times out and returns error 500.

We recommend you optimise your scripts so they don't time out.

This is a restriction being imposed by your host and them not being sensitive to ecommerce
If you can not work it out with them seek a new host

read data timeout in 60 seconds
See if they will increase this to 90sec's

    Did PayPal ever work?

What other payment method are you using?

yes paypal express always worked this is the only payment on there
i did a paypal refund via the admin area on friday and clicked the little confirm box and when i loged back in on sunday i cannot edit any orders so they are set to dispatched or accept any paypal orders as its timing out on server and cannot connect to paypal as i have tried
there is no problems with any thing else i dont think i can get invoices packing slips and customer details
thanks i have put site in to maintainence mode for now to try get this sorted but am loosing sales
    thanks
