    help question South African Rands

I am busy learning the ins and out of Zencart but dont seem to be able to get the products on the front main page to display as R and not as $ i have followed numerous tutorials but dont dont seem to be able to get it to work. I even deleted the Dollar as a currency thinking it might force RANDS being the only currency but then it shows nothing at all.

Can someone please help me .

    Abbreviated version:

    1. Zen Cart stores prices as numbers. Not as currency-specific values. So, if your product has a price of 5.00 then that's 5.00 of whatever your Default Currency is set to.

    2. You can set up as many currencies as you like. Set one of them as Default, and set its exchange rate to 1.0000.

Then in your store, if you've been messing around with changing currencies to something other than whatever your default is set to, use the currencies sidebox to choose that default currency from the list.

Look at the menu at top, choose localization and below that choose currencies.
Select or create ZAR with value=1

At localization/currencies , if you click edit, what do you have in the "Symbol Left" field?
That should be R or ZAR

If that do not work it might be something in the template you used.
    What template are you using?
