    Default I Messed Up

I was attempting to rename admin and I messed up. These are the steps I took:

I changed the three instances of admin in configure.php and saved it and used ftp to send it to my host.

Then I changed the name using FileZilla... I renamed admin and I did this from the top window. Possibly my mistake right there?

Then when I couldn't get my admin to open I renamed everything back to admin again and DELETED the folder I had renamed. The deletion process seemed to take a long time and it scared me (rightfully so).

Now, when I log on to store administration I get a blank page with this on the top:
    Index of /admin
Parent Directory (which is my site - not yet live)
    Includes

I did back up a few days ago, but the only place I see the back up is in cPanel on the Home Page. How do I use it to back up. Never did this before.

    Can somebody help, please?

Are you saying that when you ftp into your website, or look at your website files via file manager on the cpanel, that you no longer have an admin folder at all - not named admin, not named whatever your old admin was named, and not named whatever you had tried to change it to?

If yes, then that was a mistake - a rather big one.

You say your site is not yet live. You may* be able to save it by:
    1. downloading and unzipping a new copy of ZC to your home computer.
    2. Rename the admin folder to whatever you had before.
    3. upload the entire folder to your website - make sure you put it in the same place as the one you deleted.
    4. download the "new" configure file from that admin and fill in all the info about servers and password.
    5. upload that file - overwrite the (now) old one.

*may - might, could be, perhaps, I'm not promising anything.

If I open the admin folder than it contains an includes folder which contains configure.php

Is that all? It should also have an images folder, a backups folder, and about 80 files.
And in the includes folder, besides the configure file should be about 11 more folders full of stuff and another 20 files or so.

That is probably all the stuff I deleted. Now, what can I do?

Hang on a minute. I have an images folder but its not inside admin, it's inside public_html. It includes 3ds, attributes, banners, categories, dvd etc.

Like I suggested before - get a fresh vesion, unzip to your home computer and upload everything missing and then figure out what you messed up in the configure file.
Or, if you've got the recent backup and dont' mind losing any changes you've made since then - go to your cpanel, somewhere under files you should see a backup and restore link - click on that. IT usually takes you to the backup panel but there will be a link up top somewhere that says restore.
Go to the restore, it will have a list asking you what all you want to restore, click on the one that says "everything in my public_html and you should be able to click through the instructions from there with no problem.

EDIT: And no, that is another images folder.
