Tax & Imported Products

Hi there

when importing new products with a datafeed, how can my store settings know to add this product with the tax as is set for the rest of the store.

PS I went to Admin>Cat>Product General>edit Layout>Product Price Tax Class Default - When adding new products?
and changed this to 2 which is the current tax ID., but all new products import with product class = None
