is there a way to redirect order information and forward it to another website....

so if I have an off-site payment gateway.... can I forward order information there...., and allow customer to checkout from offsite payment gateway.... is this legal?

Technically, that's the way Paypal works, so it's possible, if there's a Zencart module available for your processor. We could use a lot more information about exactly what you want to do.

I am trying to code something in PHP which forwards order information to another domain, I need to know the location of the files which contains the variables to forward, and any other pertinent detail would be useful... so basically when it is time to checkout, customer is instead redirected to the offsite payment gate-way and the order information is forwarded to this website, I am just coding something for someone....

What payment gateway are you trying to forward to??

There are many plugins for payment gateways available in the plugins link

If you're trying to direct the Zencart payment process to another site/cart in order to use that site's payment processing, then no, you can't do that. As before more specific details might let us help you solve the issue.
