Adding and Removing Spaces

I'd like to add or remove a little space from a couple of places. First, under Next/Prev/List the image and product name are almost right on top of it. Can there be a little more space between them?

On the product listing page in the image grid, the images are spaced too far apart. How can I get them closer together?

By moving the images closer I'll need to remove the bold from the text, or make the font smaller, so it won't look crowded. Where would I find that code?
