Stock Quantity question

I have a site which sells shoes.
The shoes have different sizes and colours, and I only hold certain quantitys of each size and colour.
Is there anyway to add the product as a single item, then attach the size attributes/option to the product, but only if they are in stock?

i.e
Shoe 1 - Colour=Blue, Size=8UK, Stock=3
Shoe 1 - Colour=Blue, Size=9UK, Stock=2
Shoe 1 - Colour=Blue, Size=10UK, Stock=0

This would display in the shop as;

Shoe 1 - Colour=Blue, Size=8UK, In Stock
Shoe 1 - Colour=Blue, Size=9UK, In Stock

But the size 10 option would not be listed as they are not in stock.

Hope this is not confusing and someone out there can help

There is a "stock by attributes" plugin that might assist

I downloaded and installed Stock by Attribute 4.0 and when trying to access it in the admin area, the option wasnt available on the Cat/Product menu.

It just would work. Any ideass?

What version of ZenCart are you using
Begining with 1.5.0 - there are admin profiles

If you're using Zen Cart 1.5+ you need to install Stock by Attributes 5. It works a treat except that I now have to work out how to add SKUs into the equation so I can update the stock levels automatically through SQL.

I also noticed after adding the files, when clicking on the shops homepage, It just displays a blank page.

I still cant find version 5, and the latest one listed 1.4.14, doesnt work on zc 1.5.1.
Could I have a problem with the zen cart installation.
