Additional product inforamation block

Hello,
I would like to break a product description into 2 parts, and locate a shopping cart between them.
I have a long product description, and the shopping cart block is located therefore somewhere too far on the bottom of the page. And if i move it up now, there is a large empty space in prime location , on the eyes level, near the product image (my shopping cart takes space with all the attributes and attributes images, so it doesn't fit into the spot on the right of the image).

I am looking for ways to move it higher and make more visible, while at the same time to fill the space near the image with useful text.
Is there any add-ons that allow to create another product description block?
If not, would it be possible to do it manually?

Kobra, thanks, but it is different from what I am looking for.
I can move the blocks on the page myself in .tpl file.
What I am looking for is to be able to insert a blank block on a product info page, and fill it with editable text, different for each product page.

It would help if we could see this large empty space. I assume you want this additional description block to be added to the product entry page in admin ?

There are mods in Plugins which add extra fields to products - look for "product description" to find some. I don't know which ones if any work in v1.5.1. There have also been forum threads discussing the issue, with some code posted.

Stevesh - the main product image is 250x250px, aligned to the left.
And there is no column on the right. So all the space on the right of the main image is empty. So, i was thinking it would be nice to have some product description text there, not sure how to add it though.

It seems that Product Extra Field add-on does what I am looking for.
